Budget Rent a Car is an active member of the following New Zealand Travel Trade Associations.

Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand

The Tourism Industry Association New Zealand is the largest representative body of tourism operators in New Zealand. It is a membership-based and private sector trade organisation with about 1700 members - from small operators through to large companies - who collectively make up 85% of the country's tourism turnover.

Budget is proud to be an active TIANZ member; playing our part in making New Zealand's tourism industry stronger.

Tourism Export Council of New Zealand

Tourism Export Council of New Zealand is a Trade Association tourism-export-council representing the New Zealand inbound tourism industry. The TECNZ has represented the interests of inbound tourism for over thirty years, and today its Full and Allied members collectively handle most of New Zealand's holiday visitor arrivals.

The TECNZ plays a vital and supportive role in the expansion of New Zealand tourism and Budget Rent A Car are proud to be an Allied member of the Tourism Export Council of New Zealand.

Travel Agents Association of New Zealand

The Travel Agents' Association of New Zealand (TAANZ) is a trade organisation representing the travel agent and tour operator distribution system in New Zealand. There is no government licensing for travel agents, so the TAANZ is a self regulating organisation promoting quality standards, service and performance.

All members must meet strict membership and financial criteria and be subject to an annual financial review by an independent Bonding Authority. All members participate in the TAANZ Bonding Scheme for the protection of the consumer.

New Zealand Hotel Council

The New Zealand Hotel Council is an Incorporated Society whose hotel-council-logomembers include international chain, independent, privately-owned and boutique hotels throughout New Zealand. The Council is actively engaged in activities that provide tangible benefit and leadership to its members.

The New Zealand Hotel Council's members have well over a billion dollars invested in properties and plant. They are responsible for thousands of employees around the country and are committed to being actively involved in the ongoing development and success of the tourism industry throughout New Zealand.

New Zealand Tourism Guide

The New Zealand Tourism Guide began operation in 1997. From small beginnings it now lists over 12,000 New Zealand tourism and travel sites and actively works with thousands of tourism operators throughout the country.

As one of the top commercial tourism directory Web sites in New Zealand, the site provides comprehensive information including accommodation, attractions, tours, transport, maps, travel competitions, bookings and more.
